Logarithms

The logarithm of x to the Base b, is defined by
        logb(x) = c, where       bc = x

Special definitions for b = e or b = 10 are:
        ln x, Base   = e
        log x, Base = 10

To change from one Base to another:
        logbx = (logax)/(logab)
e.g. ln x = (log10x)/(log10e) = 2.302585 (log10x)

Identities

        logbbn = n
        log xc   = c log x;    xc = antilog (c log x)
        log xy   = log x + log y
        logbb   = 1;             log 1 = 0
        log x/y  = log x - log y
